Feisty

I just installed Feisty, the latest release of Ubuntu. This time I decided on a clean install, rather than an upgrade. I had one slight glitch; I couldn't select anything higher than 1024x800 resolution until I tweaked xorg.conf. Otherwise, very nice.

There's one particular innovation that I noticed nearly right away. On the command line when you type a command that is not found the system advises you right away of the package that contains that command, and the exact apt-get line to use if you want to install that package.

Simple and effective. Again Ubuntu pushes forwards with simple improvements that make you wonder why nobody else thought of them years ago.
